Direct support for immigrants navigating the U.S. immigration system, including assistance with asylum applications, family petitions, and legal representation in court.
Referrals to emergency shelters, transitional housing, supportive housing programs and advocacy and guidance to help clients secure safe accommodations.
Clients receive one-on-one support through case management services e.g. assistance with enrolling in medical programs, job referrals, and navigating public benefits.
Access to licensed therapists and counselors or culturally sensitive mental health professionals within the community who provide trauma-informed mental health care.
Help new arrivals understand U.S. systems, norms, and opportunities through orientation sessions, community events, and peer support.
Job readiness training, resume and CV building workshops, and job placement assistance for immigrants seeking economic independence
NUSAC recognizes the cultural disparities between the USA and Nigeria, particularly in the economic, social, and political spectrum. NUSAC was created, to help bridge these gaps between the two countries, in a mutually beneficial and symbiotic way.
