We recognize the cultural disparities between the USA and Nigeria, particularly in the economic, social, and political spectrum. NUSAC was created, to help bridge these gaps between the two Countries, in a mutually beneficial, and symbiotic way. On the economic front, NUSAC’s vision is to serve as a conduit for U.S. based companies, seeking to do business in Nigeria, and vice versa, by providing them with information, referrals and contacts, to help facilitate this venture.
On the social and political spectrum, NUSAC’s vision is to serve as an Advocacy think tank, for Nigerians, based in the USA Diaspora, with the resultant effect of producing a thriving Nigerian and African Diaspora community in the U.S. that is empowered, stable, and integrated into society while maintaining strong cultural ties and contributing positively both locally and internationally.
By virtue of our advocacy, NUSAC serves as a conduit, between Nigeria (and by extension, Africa), and the United States, by providing culturally responsive support and services to immigrants, with a focus on Nigerians in the U.S., especially those facing homelessness, mental health related, and immigration-related challenges.
Help newly arrived Nigerians acclimate to life in the U.S
Provide and coordinate immigration and legal aid.
Prevent homelessness amongst the Nigeria and African Diaspora communities
Support economic self-sufficiency through employment services and social integration
Expand services to other African and Caribbean immigrants facing similar issues
